Spinning is used to turn cotton, raw silk, wool, or malacinth into string, wool yarn, silk thread, or malacinth twine. The chances of success are based on your skill/2 and dexterity/6 plus the base percentage (currently unknown). Malacinth flax comes from a malacinth tree and the seed for the tree requires 25 foraging or higher to find.  Weaving is used to turn string, wool yarn, silk thread, or malacinth twine into cloth, wool fabric, silk cloth, or malacinth fabric. The chances of success are based on your skill/2 and base stat/6 plus the base percentage (base stat not known as of this posting). Sewing requires scissors which can be purchased from a provisioner for 150 gold. To use the Scissors double-click them and you'll be given a menu of items you can craft. This menu includes the amount of fabric required to craft each item. The odds of success are determined by your skill/2 and dexterity/6 plus the base%. The following charts show what is required to craft each item. 
At present there is only 1 magic item that can assist with the Tailoring trade:  Mystic Scissors: This item gives a bonus of 10 levels in sewing when used and requires 20 sewing skill to use. |
